The only spec in my experience who would want kings is arcane or arcane-centric hybrids, simply because their threat mitigation talents are unrivaled.

Mages might want wisdom on longer fights for the sheer mana efficiency, again especially on arcane mages. I ran kara once on my frost mage main, and tried wisdom on Nightbane. Wisdom combined with Mage Armor allowed me to last the whole fight depending on only mana gems and evocating only before he lands so that by the time I finish the evoc, the tank has gained enough aggro for me to go all-out.

Oh! It's sort of refreshing to see us from another point of view.

Just one thing I thought was a bit strange: the discussion about making tables. Of course I make tables! I make tables in raid, I make tables when pugging heroics, I make tables to any party if it's big enough, otherwise I'll make water and bread. I even make tables in BG. All the time. It dosen't cost much really. A few silver - and in return you get a lot of love, thanks and some additional buffs, sometimes even healthstones.

And the same goes with portals of course. I make them for my party without any discussion and I don't even trick them to go to Exodar. I'm really a kind mage.

But I read between the lines that you've met quite a few mages that think differently. It's a pity.

Complete strangers begging for portals and food in Stormwind is of course another issue. Normally I won't make it for them unless they ask very nicely and offer a tip.

Very informative writing style. We have amazing utility that simply no other class can provide. Sure, Warlocks and Shamans will probably end up getting their blink and polymorph variants respectively, but they simply don't do the same job as a mage's arsenal. And to top that off with supposed efforts by the Blizzard development staff to increase the mage class's damage output, we have plenty to look forward to as casters in the upcoming expansion.

Kudos again!
